Kunal brings to Green Sands a rare combination of technical depth, entrepreneurial instinct, and systems thinking developed across more than a decade of building companies and AI infrastructure globally.

 

A technology entrepreneur at the intersection of technology, systems building, and impact, Kunal began his journey as a teenager in India, founding KStar eCommerce to bring rural artisans online— connecting artisan communities across India to urban markets, scaling the company for six years before exiting in 2022. He subsequently established KStar Holdings, a holding entity through which he has built and advised ventures spanning technology, media, and AI across four industries in Asia Pacific and North America.

 

He serves on boards across for-profit and nonprofit organizations in India and the United States, guiding strategy at the intersection of innovation and impact. He is a Fellow and Board Member of Stanford Angels & Entrepreneurs in Southern California.

 

An early pioneer in conversational AI, Kunal was building and deploying applications on Google's AI infrastructure in 2018 — years before large language models entered mainstream consciousness. He subsequently co-founded ZeroToIP, an AI-native intellectual property platform redefining the IP and patent process for startups through AI-streamlined workflows.

 

Kunal is a three-time TEDx speaker and member of the United Nations AI for Good Initiative. He has spoken on entrepreneurship and futurism across global stages in the US, Europe, Asia, and beyond, and has lectured and judged at IIT Bombay, IIT Indore, UC Irvine, and California State University Long Beach, where he served as Entrepreneur in Residence for two years. He is the host of the DeTox Show, a mental health podcast that reached the global Spotify top 20 across more than 100 episodes, produced as part of the mental health nonprofit he continues to support.

 

At Green Sands, Kunal helps the firm's artificial intelligence strategy and works closely with the team to identify, analyze, and scale AI-first companies.
